Champions Leeds are gambling on their reserve strength to keep their winning run going after deciding to press ahead with tonight’s Super League game against Harlequins.
The match at the Stoop follows York’s game there against London Skolars. But the double-header might not have gone ahead had the Rhinos taken the option to rearrange their game due to having four players in the England squad for tonight’s international against France.
They also have key injuries, but coach Brian McClennan has confidence in naming several reserves, including hooker Paul McShane, a Knights target, and former York loanee Luke Ambler. “It has given other players an opportunity,” he said.
