Selby Warriors are scheduled to go to Odsal Sedbergh in Pennine League division three and Warriors ‘A’ are due to host leaders Odsal ‘A’ in division seven – but both games are in doubt.
New Earswick All Blacks have no game in division one east and their a ‘A’ team match at Oulton ‘A’ in division four is also unlikely to go ahead.
Should they play, Selby ‘A’ would be buoyed by a first league win of the season last week against Wetherby Bulldogs – in a game which doubled up as a Selby Cup group ‘B’ tie.
Selby turned out their best team of the season with the returning Russ Anderson and Matthew Irving. Tries in the 26-14 victory came from new signing Ryan Swires, Nick Weaver, who added three goals, prop Dan Brown, young centre Scott Tyson, who sped home, and improved scrum-half Scott Weldon, following a great run from Dave Lyon.
Wetherby had opened the scoring with a penalty but their only tries came late on.
The result means Selby ‘A’ have topped group ‘B’ in the cup and qualify for the semi-finals.
