Heworth ARLC ‘A’ crashed to a 46-16 defeat at home to Hunslet Warriors ‘A’ in the Yorkshire Men’s League.
The visitors bossed the first half and built up 16-0 lead before the Villagers replied when two of their under-17s squad combined well with a Harry Deighton chip kick setting up a try for centre Jason Smith. Deighton goaled.
The Warriors added three more converted tries to lead 34-16.
The second period was more even, the hosts scoring tries by Smith and substitute Adam Caddie, which he also converted.
Heworth’s Karl Durkin was man of the match.
