IT’S the same again for Pocklington RUFC for the 2012/13 campaign with the appointment of Matt Webber, Ben Rees and Chris Morton as captain and joint vice-captains.

The trio steered Pocklington to the Yorkshire One championship last season and will now take on the challenge of leading Pocklington in the North East division this season.

Webber, from Sutton-on-Derwent, starts his third campaign in charge, and the skipper was quick to praise the contribution of Pocklington based scrum half, Rees, and Holme-on-Spalding Moor forward, Morton, saying: “It’s good to have Ben and Chris’ support again as they did a great job last season and were a big part of the strong team ethic that was key to us doing well.”

There are a few changes for the club’s other two sides, the Panthers and Pilgrims.

East Yorkshire barrister and former York Law College captain, Andrew Wilson, takes over the Panthers, with last year’s skipper, Phil Drew, moving down to be joint vice-captain with Martin Scott.

The Pligrims will be led by the experienced Chris Mudd, with Dan Elvidge and Tim Hughes as his vice-captains.
