YORK-BASED retailer Pavers Shoes are again putting their best foot forward with York City Knights.
Pavers, which has been in business for four decades, has a history of rugby league sponsorship, not only with the Knights but with York-based amateur clubs and, at the other end of the scale, England, having been their official footwear supplier for the last two Four Nations tournaments.
They were Knights shoe suppiers in 2004 and, having returned to Huntington Stadium by taking out corporate hospitality this year, they are now back on board as shirt sleeve sponsors for 2012.
The company’s buying director, Ian Paver, is a former York RL player and is pictured with the Knights’ player-coach, Chris Thorman, at its shop at the Designer Outlet at Naburn, one of the company’s 100-plus stores in the British Isles, another of which is in Piccadilly, York.
