SU Pollard will celebrate her 60th birthday while in York performing the juicy role of the hard-faced, hard-drinking New York orphanage owner Miss Hannigan in Annie.
The former Hi-De-Hi star will be joined by David McAlister, who plays the kindly, wealthy Oliver Warbucks in the rags-to-riches tale of little orphan Annie.
A West End cast of 40 will present the Broadway musical best known for such songs as It’s A Hard Knock Life, Easy Street and Tomorrow.
Performances start at 7.30pm plus 2.30pm matinees on Wednesday and next Saturday; tickets cost £10 to £26 on 0844 847 2322.
