NOTICE OF MAKING
THE YORK OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES (AMENDMENT) (NO 13/2) TRAFFIC ORDER 2015

Notice is hereby given that on the 10th day of February 2015 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 32, 33 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, made an Order which has the effect of providing 24 hour ‘off-street’ public parking provision on every day for motor cars and motor cycles within an area of land owned by the Council and situated adjacent to Kathryn Avenue, Monks Cross, Huntington, the said area of land being partly occupied by Huntington Stadium and the former Water World Gym and Leisure Pool complex. The parking provision will be subject to a £2.00 charge per stay in respect of a continuous period of parking from the time of its commencement to its termination providing such termination is no later than 12 Midnight that same day, or a £10.00 charge per seven day period, commencing at the time of purchase and terminating seven days from the time/date of the purchase. Payment of the charges will be made by credit or debit card by mobile telephone communication with the Council. A 60 minutes ‘No Return’ period will apply to subsequent periods of parking on the same day. Disabled Badge Holders will not be subject to charge.

The Order comes into effect on the 12th day of February 2015. A copy of the Order incorporating relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulation thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of making of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
