NOTICE OF ELECTION ELECTION OF COUNCILLORS FOR THE CITY OF YORK
NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT:
Elections are to be held in the under mentioned wards of the City of York as listed in column 1. The number of councillors to be elected in each ward is stated in column 2.

Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at the West Offices, Station Rise, York between the hours of 10am. and 4pm. on any day after the date of this notice (except Friday 3 April, Saturday 4 April, Sunday 5 April and Monday 6 April) but not later than 4pm on Thursday 9 April 2015.
Nomination Papers may be obtained from the Returning Officer on the dates and times aforesaid at the West Offices, Station Rise, York and who will, at the request of any elector for the area, prepare a nomination paper for signature.
If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 7 May 2015.
Electors should note the last day for applications to request a postal vote or re-direction of a postal vote or cancel an existing postal vote or proxy appointment is 5pm on Tuesday 21 April 2015. The last day for new applications to vote by proxy is 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2015.
Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity or work/service must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at West Offices, Station Rise, York by 5pm on Thursday 7 May. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5pm on Tuesday 28 April. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station after 5pm on Tuesday 28 April.
