NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER & DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE & COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

Public Footpaths 35.74/16 And 35.74/17 Wistow, Selby Diversion Order 2011
On 13 May 2015, North Yorkshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpaths described below and modify the Former West Riding of Yorkshire (Area 3) Definitive Map and Statement accordingly.
Public footpath 35.74/16. This order will divert the path starting at Se 5929 3560 on the maintainable highway known as Pinfold Hill that runs generally south east for approximately 189 metres to SE 5941 3546 on to a new alignment starting at SE 5929 3554 on the maintainable known as Selby Road the way heads north east for approximately 36 metres along the tarmac path across the green to SE 5932 3556 from where the way heads south east for approximately 131 metres along the tarmac path across the green and between the houses to SE 5941 3546 on public footpath 35.76/16. Public Footpath 35.74/17. This order will divert the path starting at SE 5953 3531 on public footpath 35.74/13 the route heads south east for approximately 125 metres to SE 5962 3523 from where the route heads north east for approximately 18 metres to SE 5964 3523 from where the route heads generally south east for approximately 193 metres to SE 5976 3508 on to a new alignment starting at SE 5953 3532 on public footpath 35.74/13 the way runs south east through a gate for approximately 63 metres on the eastern side of the fence to SE 5958 3527 from where the way passes through the gate and continues south east for approximately 261 metres across the pasture to SE 5976 3508 on public footpath 35.74/17.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Selby Library, YO8 4EQ, North Yorkshire until 10 July 2015. Copies of the Order and Map may be purchased there at a reasonable cost. The Order comes into force on the date on which the Authority certifies, in accordance with Section 119(3) (b) of the 1980 Act, that work to the new section of path, described in part 2 of the Schedule, has been completed, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 29 May 2015, make an application to the High Court.
