TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (Act), in respect of the following locations.
(1) COPMANTHORPE FOOTPATH NO. 1/2/20, COPMANTHORPE
This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of closed footpath, known as Copmanthorpe Footpath No 1/2/20 between the western property boundary line of No. 66 Copmanthorpe Lane and a point 600 metres west of the said property boundary line (closed footpath) during the period when sewer replacement works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on 15th day of June 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 15th day of November 2015 or at a time and date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed around the closed footpath during the works period.
(2) CEMETERY ROAD, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in the northern bound traffic lane of Cemetery Road, York between its junction with Fulford Road and Melbourne Street (closed traffic lane) during the period commencing at 0900hrs on the 16th day of June 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 19th day of June 2015 (works period) or at a time and date when footway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the restriction will only be put in place between 9am and 5pm, Tuesday to Friday during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed via Fulford Road, Fishergate, Paragon Street, Fawcett Street, Kent Street, Cemetery Road and vice versa.
(3) SCHOOL LANE, COPMANTHORPE
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in (i) School Lane, Copmanthorpe and (ii) Manor Heath between School Lane and the northern property boundary line of No. 8 Manor Heath, Copmanthorpe (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 15th day of June 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 26th day of June 2015 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the works will be undertaken, within the first week of the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed via Horseman Lane, Hallcroft Lane, Manor Heath and vice versa.
(4) YORK ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, HAXBY
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through the York Road Level Crossing on Haxby Road, Haxby (closed road) during the period commencing at 2300hrs on 21st day of June 2015 and ending at 0600hrs on the 22nd day of June 2015 or at time when track maintenance works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via York Road, A1237, B1363, Mill Lane, The Village, York Road and vice versa.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
