CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 9th day of July 2015 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (4) and (5).
(1) CEMETERY ROAD, YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in the northern bound traffic lane of Cemetery Road, York between its junctions with Fulford Road and Kensal Rise (closed traffic lane) during the period when works associated with gas work being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0800hrs on the 12th day of July 2015 andendingat0700hrsonthe13thdayofJuly2015oratatimeanddatewhentheworks have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed via Fulford Road, Fishergate, Paragon Street, Barbican Road, Cemetery Road and vice versa.
(2) OX CARR LANE, YORK ROAD & STRENSALL ROAD, STRENSALL This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in (i) Ox Carr Lane, Strensall between its junction with Farriers Chaseand thesouthern kerbline ofThe SixBellsPublic House Car Park (ii) York Road, Strensall between its junctions with Ox Carr Lane and Birch Tree Close and (iii) Strensall Road, Strensall between its junction with Farriers Chase and a point 70 metres south of the said junction (closed road) during a period commencing at 0900hrs on 13th day of July 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on 24th day of July 2015 (works period) or on a date when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put in to place, between 0900hrs and 1600hrs on each day during the works period. During the works period vehicle movements at the roundabout controlled junction between Ox Carr Lane and York Road, Strensall will be controlled by two-way traffic signals.
(3) PERCY'S LANE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Percy's Lane, York between its junctions with Paver Lane and Hurst's Yard (closed road) during the period when nearby crane removal works being undertaken by crane operation from the closed road havebeen completed thatperiod commencing at0001hrs on the 16th dayofJuly2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 1st day of August 2015 or at a time and date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put in to place, between Thursday 16th July and Sunday 19th July and on Saturday 1st August 2015 during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(4) MOUNT PARADE, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Mount Parade, York between the respective southern property boundary lines of No.'s 1 and 11 Mount Parade (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 20th day of July 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 24th day of July2015 (works period) or at a time and date when water works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during works period.
(5) DALE'S LANE, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Dale's Lane, York between its junctions with Heworth and Harrison Street (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 20th day of July 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the27th day of July 2015 (works period) or at a time when gas main replacement works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for the diverted traffic will be available via Heworth, Heworth Village, Hempland Lane, Hempland Avenue, Oakland Avenue, Harrison Street and vice versa.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
