CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 16th day of July 2015 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) and (2). Additionally,the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (3), (4) and (5).
(1) MOUNT PARADE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Mount Parade, York between the respective southern property boundary lines of No.'s 1 and 11 Mount Parade (closed road) duringaperiodcommencingat0001hrson20thdayofJuly2015andendingat2400hrson24th day of July 2015 (works period) or on a date when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(2) DALE'S LANE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Dale's Lane, York between its junctions with Heworth and Harrison Street (closed road) during a period commencing at 0001hrs on 20th day of July 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on 27th day of July 2015 (works period) or on a date when gas main replacement works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Heworth, Heworth Village, Hempland Lane, Hempland Avenue, Oakland Avenue and Harrison Street.
(3) CARR LANE. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Carr Lane, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 27th day of July 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 2nd day of August 2015 (works period) or at a time when water main replacement works and gas mains works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for the diverted traffic will be available via York Road, The Green, Wetherby Road, Beckfield Lane, Boroughbridge Road and vice versa.
(4) MILL MOUNT. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Mill Mount, York (closed road) during the periodcommencing at0001hrson the 1stdayofAugust2015and ending at2400hrs onthe8thdayofAugust2015(worksperiod)oratatimeanddatewhengasmainsreplacement works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during works period.
(5) GROVESNOR ROAD. YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting from 10am to 10pm in unrestricted lengths on the south side of Grosvenor Road, York between its junctions with Bootham Crescent and the service road to Grosvenor Park (restricted road) and, additionally, to impose a prohibition on vehicles from proceeding between the said times in the restricted road. The Order will be effective during the period from 25th July2015to31st May2016. This is because ofthe likelihood of danger arising. It is envisaged that the restrictions and prohibition will only be put in place on the occasion of a football match or other sporting event at the adjacent football stadium and only for such period within the specified times as is necessary to ensure safety. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via: Burton Stone Lane, Clifton, Bootham Crescent and vice versa.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
