CITY OF YORK COUNCIL

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 6th day of August 2015 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends tomakean OrderunderSection 14(1)oftheActinrespectofthelocationnumbered(6).

(1) STRAKERS PASSAGEWAY, YORK

This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in Straker's Passageway between its junctions with Fossgate and Black Horse Passage, York (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on 10th day of August 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 25th day of September 2015 or on a date when nearby building works being undertaken adjacent to the closed footpath have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be signed.

(2) ST SAVIOURGATE. YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in St Saviourgate, York between its junction with Hungate and Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate (closed road) during a period commencing at 0001hrs on 10th day of August 2015 and ending at 2400hrs on 17th day of August 2015 (works period) or at a time and date when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'ONE WAY' direction of traffic flow in St Saviourgate is suspended during the period of physical closure to allow two-way traffic flow in the said road when the closure is put into effect. An alternative route for the diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(3) HUNTINGTON ROAD. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Huntington Road, York between its roundabout controlled junction with Monkgate and Park Grove (closed road) during a period commencing at1900hrs on 10th dayofAugust2015and ending at 2400hrs on 21st day of August 2015 (works period) or at a time and date when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put in to place, between 1900hrs and 2300hrs Monday to Friday during the first week of the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Monkgate, Lord Mayors Walk, Clarence Street, Haxby Road, Haley's Terrace, Huntington Road and vice versa.

(4) WESTWOOD TERRACE. YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Westwood Terrace, York between its junction with Albemarle Road and the eastern property boundary line of No. 29 Westwood Terrace (closed road) during a period commencing at 0915hrs on 10th day of August 2015 and ending at 1600hrs on 18th day of August 2015 (works period) or on a date when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Albemarle Road, Queen Victoria Street, Count De Burgh Terrace and vice versa.

(5) MAIN STREET. COPMANTHORPE

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Main Street, Copmanthorpe between the northern building line of Trowel House Farm and the southern property boundary line of No. 32 Main Street, Copmanthorpe (closed road) during a period commencing at 0915hrs on 10th day of August 2015 and ending at 1600hrs on 28th day of August 2015 (works period) or on a date when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put in to place, between 0915hrs and 1600hrs Monday to Friday during the first two weeks of the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(6) STRAYLANDS GROVE. YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Straylands Grove, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 17th dayofAugust2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 28th day of August 2015 (works period) or at a time and date when gas mains replacement works have been completed whichever is the earlier This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed via Malton Road, Stockton Lane, Woodlands Grove and vice versa.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
