Notice of making of a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order

Footpath No. 25.81/12 Elm Tree Farm, East Knapton, Scampston Diversion Order 2015
The above Order, made on 23rd July 2015 under Sections 119 and 53A(2) of the above Acts respectively, will divert the public footpath described below and modify the East Riding [now situated within the County of North Yorkshire] Definitive Map and Statement accordingly. Footpath No.25.81/12 will be diverted from a line through a field and the garden of Lucas Cottage to the public road at East Knapton onto a new route following the same field edge passing the outer garden perimeter of Lucas Cottage to join Public Bridleway No. 25.81/8 at Grid Reference SE 8827 7609 near the public road. A copy of the Order and Order map may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Helmsley Library, North Yorkshire, YO62 5BL until 8 January 2016. Copies may be purchased from Waste & Countryside Services, North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AD (tel: 01609 532512) at a cost of £2.00, or can be downloaded free from our website www.northyorks.gov.uk/pathnotices. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Susan Stott, Diversions Officer, at the above address not later than 8 January 2016. Please state the grounds on which they are made. Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Yorkshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
