Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 11th day of February 2016 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (7), (8) and (9).
(1) HAMILTON DRIVE, YORK
This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footway on the north side of Hamilton Drive, York between the respective eastern property boundaries of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs RC Primary School and No. 74 Hamilton Drive (closed footpath) during the period when works to Holgate Beck and the associated bridge are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 15th day of February 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 19th day of February 2016 or at a time and date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. During the works period vehicle movements on Hamilton Drive will be controlled by two-way traffic signals. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available on the footway on the south side of Hamilton Drive.
(2) FULFORDGATE & EASTWARD AVENUE, FULFORD This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in (i) Fulfordgate, York and (ii) Eastward Avenue, York (closed road) during the period when carriageway reconstruction works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 13th day of February 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 21st day of February 2016 or at a time and date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure thatthe said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(3) EASTFILED LANE, DUNNINGTON
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Eastfield Lane, Dunnington between its junctions with Holly Tree Lane and Stamford bridge Road (A166) (closed road) during the period when telecommunication works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs and ending at 2400hrs on the 15th day of February 2016 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period via Eastfield Lane, Church Balk, Stamford Bridge Road and vice versa.
(4) SOUTH LANE, HAXBY
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in South Lane, Haxby between its junctions with York Road and rear access road to No.'s 8-26 York Road, Haxby (closed road) during the period when gas works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 22nd day of February 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 26th day of February 2016 (works period) or on a date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'ONE WAY' direction of traffic flow in South Lane, Haxby is suspended during the period of physical closure to allow two-way traffic flow in the said road when the closure is put into effect. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(5) PARLIAMENT STREET & MARKET STREET, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in (i) Parliament Street, York and (ii) Market Street, York (closed road) during the period when nearby building works being undertaken by crane operation from the closed road that period commencing at 1900hrs on the 22nd day of February 2016 and ending at 0600hrs on the 23rd day of February 2016 (works period) or on a date/time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'ONE WAY' direction of traffic flow in Parliament Street and Market Street is suspended during the period of physical closure to allow two-way traffic flow in the said road when the closure is put into effect. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(6) BRIDGE STREET & LOW OUSEGATE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding in a easterly direction in that length of road
comprising of Bridge Street and Low Ousegate between its junctions with Micklegate and Nessgate (closed traffic lane) and prohibiting pedestrian and vehicles from proceeding on the footpath on the south side ofBridge Streetand LowOusegate between its junctions with Micklegate and Nessgate (closed footpath) during the period when footway reconstruction works being undertaken to the closed footpath that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 22nd day of February 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 8th day of April 2016 (works period) or at a time and date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'NO RIGHT TURN' from Clifford Street into Coppergate is suspended during the period of physical closure. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put into effect between 0930hrs and 1600hrs, Monday to Friday during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed via Skeldergate, Skeldergate Bridge, Tower Street, Cliiford Street and Nessgate.
(7) ROUGIER STREET, YORK This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footway on the south west side of Rougier Street, York between its junction with Tanner Row and the south eastern property boundary of No. 2 Rougier Street (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 22nd day of February 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 6th day of March 2016 or on a date when the bus shelter removal works and works for the erection a temporary bus shelter during the nearby development works being undertaken adjacent to the closed footpath have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available on the footway on the north east side of Rougier Street.
(8) TRINITY LANE, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Trinity Lane, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 29th day of February 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 11th dayof March 2016 (works period) or at time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'ONE WAY' direction of traffic flow in Trinity Lane is suspended during the period of physical closure to allow two-way traffic flow in the said road when the closure is put into effect. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period via Bishophill Junior, Priory Street, Micklegate and vice versa.
(9) HAXBY FOOTPATH NO 18/4/20, HAXBY This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of closed footpath, known as Haxby Footpath No 18/4/20 between its junction with Landing Lane, Haxby and a point 250 metres south of the said junction (closed footpath) during the period when resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on 29th dayof February2015 and ending at 2400hrs on the 1st dayof April 2015 or at a time and date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
