CITY OF YORK COUNCIL

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 25th day of February 2016 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (4) and (5).

(1) LEEMAN ROAD, YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Leeman Road, York between its junctions with Station Road and Cinder Lane (closed road) during the period when bridge maintenance works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 1900hrs on the 29th day of February 2016 and ending at 0600hrs on the 5th day of March 2016 (works period) or on a date/time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the closure will onlybe put into effect overnight between 2100hrs and 0600hrs, during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via: From the west: Leeman Road, Garfield Terrace, Livingstone Street, Salisbury Road, Water End, Poppleton Road, Holgate Road, Blossom Street, Queen Street, Station Road, Station Rise, Leeman Road.
From the East: Leeman Road, Station Rise, Station Avenue, Station Road, Queens Street, Blossom Street, Holgate Road, Poppleton Road, Water End, Salisbury Road, Salisbury Terrace, Kingsland Terrace, Leeman Road.

(2) TRINITY LANE, YORK

This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Trinity Lane, York (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 29th dayof February2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 11th day of March 2016 (works period) or on a date/time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period via Bishophill Junior, Priory Street, Micklegate and vice versa.

(3) HAXBY FOOTPATH NO 18/4/20, HAXBY

This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of closed footpath, known as Haxby Footpath No 18/4/20 between its junction with Landing Lane, Haxby and a point 250 metres south of the said junction (closed footpath), during the period when resurfacing works are being undertaken thereon. The prohibition commences at 0001hrs on the 29th day of February 2016 and ends at 2400hrs on the 1st day of April 2016 or on a date when the said works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.

(4) MURTON WAY, OSBALDWICK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Murton Way, Osbaldwick between its junction with Outgang Lane and a point 70 metres east of the said junction (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 8th day of March 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 10th day of March 2016 (works period) or at a time when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.

(5) BURTON STONE LANE, YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Burton Stone Lane between its junctions with Clifton and Grosvenor Road (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 2400hrs on the 13th day of March 2016 (works period) or at time when water works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
