NOTICE OF PROPOSALS THE YORK SPEED LIMIT (AMENDMENT) (No 14/8) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 82, 83, 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, proposes to make an Order which will have the effect, of: Revoking the 40 mph speed limit in that length of:
(i) Water Lane (C419), Clifton Without/York between its junctions with Clifton Moorgate and Green Lane thereby allowing a statutory 30mph speed limit to take effect within the said length by virtue of the standard of street lighting provision;

(ii) Green Lane, Clifton Without between its junction with Water Lane to a point 100 metres north east from the projected centreline of Bowland Way thereby allowing a statutory 30mph speed limit to take effect within the said length by virtue of the standard of street lighting provision.

A copy of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons for making it and relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Objections or other representations specifying reasons for the objection or representation should be sent to me in writing to arrive no later than 14th April 2016.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3).
(1) USHER LANE, HAXBY This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Usher Lane, Haxby between its junctions with Swarthdale and Farndale Close (closed road) during the period commencing at 0930hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 11th day of April 2016 (works period) or at a time when sewer works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(2) ST MAURICE'S COURT, YORK

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of St Maurice's Court, York between its junction with Monkgate and a point 50 metres north west of the said junction (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs on the 11th day of April 2016 and ending at 2000hrs on the 12th day of April 2016 (works period) or at a time when water connection works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(3) EASTFIELD AVENUE, HAXBY

This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Eastfield Avenue, Haxby between its junctions with Oak Tree Lane and Green Dike (closed road) during the period commencing at 0930hrs and ending at 1400hrs on the 14th day of April 2016 (works period) or at time when road safety works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed via Oak Tree Lane, Greenshaw Drive, Wheatfield Lane and vice versa.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions. For further information in respect of each location please contact:
