CITY OF YORK COUNCIL THE YORK

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/7) TRAFFIC ORDER 2016 NOTICE OF PROPOSALS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, proposes to make an Order which will have the effect of:
1. Introducing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions in Campleshon Road, York, on its north side as follows:

(a) between points 16 metres north east from the projected western kerbline of Lorne Street (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions) and 58 metres south west from the projected western kerbline of Trafalgar Street,

(b) between points 10 metres south west from the projected western kerbline of Lorne Street (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at anytime' restrictions) and the projected western property boundary line of No. 34 Campleshon Road;

2. Introducing a 24 hour City Car Club parking place in Campleshon Road, York on its south side between points 39 metres and 45metres west of the centreline of Trafalgar Street;

3. Formalising existing Disabled Person's (Blue Badge) Parking Place on the north west side of Falsgrave Crescent, York, between a point 1 metres south west of the projected southern property boundary line of No. 19 Falsgrave Crescent and a point 5 metres north east of the said line;

4. Introducing Disabled Person's (Blue Badge) Parking Place in Campleshon Road, York, on its north side between points 10 metres and 17 metres south west from the projected kerbline on the west side of Lorne Street (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions);

5. Transferring the residential properties at 20 Southlands Road and 1 Nunthorpe Grove, York from Residents Priority Parking Zone R45 Southlands Road to become part of Residents Priority Parking Zone R57 Nunthorpe Grove thereby necessitating the modification of the respective Zonal boundary areas to reflect and formalise that transfer;

6. Introducing a 24 hour loading bayon the south side ofParagon Street, York between points 118 metres and 151 metres eastfrom the projected centre line ofFawcettStreetthereby revoking the existing 'No Waiting at any time' restriction from within that length;

7. Re-defining 'Residents' Priority' parking area thereby bringing within the R8 zone the existing 24 hour R7 parking provision on the south east side of George Court between points 2.5 metres and 13.5 metres north east of the projected highway boundary line of Penleys Grove Street;

8. Re-defining 'Residents' Priority' parking area thereby bringing within the R8 zone the existing 24 hour 'Pay and Display' and R7 parking provision on the north east side of Penleys Grove Street between points 274 metres and 289 metres south east of the projected centreline of Del Pyke.

A copy of the draft Order, Statement of Reasons for making it and relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Objections or other representations specifying reasons for the objection or representation should be sent to me in writing to arrive no later than 6th May 2016.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 10th day of March 2016 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) and (2). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (3) and (4).
(1) POTTERY LANE, STRENSALL
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Pottery Lane, Strensall between its junctions with Sheriff Hutton Road and Forest Lane (closed road) during the period when works toreplace electrical overhead conductor being undertaken thereon have been completed that period commencing at0900hrs and ending at 1600hrs on the 24th dayofApril 2016 (works period) or on at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(2) BARLOW STREET, DODGSON TERRACE & INMAN TERRACE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in (i) Barlow Street, York, (ii) Dodgson Terrace, York and (iii) Inman Terrace, York (closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 25th day of April 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 13th day of May 2016 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(3) JOCKEY LANE, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from making a right hand turn from Jockey Lane in to Vangarde Way and proceeding in the south west bound filter lane of Jockey Lane, York between its junction with Vangarde Way and a point 130 metres north east of the junction (closed traffic lane) during the period commencing at 1830hrs on the 25th day of April 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 26th day of April 2016 (works period) or at a time when telecommunication works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the prohibition will only be put into effect between 1830hrs and 2330hrs on each day during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(4) WATER LANE & GREEN LANE, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding in that length of (i) Water Lane, York between its junction with Clifton Moorgate and the southern property boundary line of No. 210 Water Lane and (ii) Green Lane, York between its junction with Water Lane and the northern eastern property boundary line of No. 18 Handley Close (closed road) during the period commencing at 1900hrs on the 27th day of April 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 3rd day of May 2016 (works period) or at a time when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon havebeen completed whichever is the earlier. This is toensure thatthe said works can be carried outsafely. Itis envisaged thatthe closure will onlybe putinto effectbetween 1900hrs and 2330hrs on Wednesday 27th April and 1900hrs on Thursday 28th April till 0630hrs on Friday 29th April 2016. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions. For further information in respect of each location please contact:
