CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 29^th day of April 2016 continuing in force the restrictions in respect of the location below.
WATER LANE & GREEN LANE, YORKThis Order continues in force The York (Water Lane & Green Lane) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2016 (original Order) that Order having an expiry date on 3^rd May 2016. This is necessary to ensure that carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon can continue to be carried out safely. The effect of the Order is to continue in force the prohibition on vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of (i) Water Lane, York between its junction with Clifton Moorgate and the southern property boundary line of No. 210 Water Lane and (ii) Green Lane, York between its junction with Water Lane and the northern eastern property boundary line of No. 18 Handley Close (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on the 4^th day of May 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 15^th day of May 2016 (works period) or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put into effect on two nights during the works periods.
The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on­going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions.
