TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) and 15(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 15th day of September 2016 continuing in force the restrictions in respect of the location below.
STRENSALL FOOTPATH NO. 3/4/10, STRENSALL
This Order continues in force The Strensall (Strensall Footpath No 3/4/10) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2016 (original Order) that Order having an expiry date on 16th September 2016. This is necessary to ensure that river bank improvement works being undertaken thereon can continue to be carried out safely. The effect of the Order is to continue in force the prohibition on pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of closed footpath, known as Strensall Footpath No 3/4/10 between its junction with Sheriff Hutton Road, Strensall and a point 250 metres north west of the said junction (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001 hours on the 17th day of September 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 14th day of October 2016 or at the end of the works period whichever is the earlier. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available via sheriff Hutton Road, New Lane and vice versa.
The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
