CITY OF YORK COUNCIL

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 3rd day of November 2016 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2) and (3). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to makeanOrderunderSection 14(1)oftheActinrespectofeachofthelocationsnumbered (4), (5), (6), (7) and (8).
(1) WATER LANE & GREEN LANE, YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of (i) Water Lane, York between its junctions with Green Lane and Woodland Chase and (ii) Green Lane, York between its junctions with Water Lane and Green Lane Industrial Estate Road (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0730hrs and ending at 2400hrs on the 6th day of November 2016 or at a time and date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put into effect between 0730hrs and 1930hrs during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(2) MELROSEGATE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Melrosegate, York between its junctions with Alcuin Avenue and Fifth Avenue (closed road) during the period when carriageway resurfacing works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001hrs on the 7th day of November and ending at 2400hrs on the 11th dayofNovember 2016 (worksperiod) or ata time when the works havebeen completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(3) TANNER ROW, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Tanner Row, York between its junctions with North Street and Rougier Street (closed road) during the period when nearby building works being undertaken by crane operation from the closed road, that period commencing at 0700hrs on the 6th day of November 2016 and ending at1900hrson the 20thdayofNovember 2016(worksperiod)oratatimewhen the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put in to effect on Sunday 6th November 2016 and Sunday 20th November 2016. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(4) WALMGATE, YORK This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in the footway on the south side of Walmgate, York between the respective northern property boundaries of No.'s 29 and 35 Walmgate (closed footpath) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on the 12th day of November 2016 and ending at 2400hrs on the 22nd day of November 2016 or on a date when nearby development works being undertaken adjacent to the closed footpath have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.
(5) PARAGON STREET, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in the east bound traffic lane of Paragon Street, York between the western property boundary of No. 1 Fawcett Street and the eastern property boundary of City House, Fawcett Street (closed traffic lane) during the period commencing at 2000hrs on the 19th day of November 2016 and ending at 1000hrs on the 20th day of November 2016 (work period) or at time when water works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(6) THE MOUNT, YORK
This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in the north east bound bus lane and adjacent parking area of The Mount, York between its junctions with Dalton Terrace and Scarcroft Road (closed bus lane) during the period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1600hrs on the 20th day of November 2016 (work period) or at time when footway reconstruction works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.
(7) TUDOR ROAD & KINGSWAY WEST, YORK ThisOrderwill prohibitvehiclesfromproceedingandwaitinginthatlength of(i)TudorRoad, York between its junctions with Green Lane Roundabout and Stuart Road and (ii) Kingsway West, York between its junction with Green Lane Roundabout and a point 30 metres south west of the said junction (closed road) during the period commencing at 0930hrs and ending at1500hrs on the24thdayofNovember 2016(works period) or attimewhen road safety works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(8) LAWRENCE STREET, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Lawrence Street, York between its junctions with Farrar Street and Lansdowne Terrace (closed road) during the period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1000hrs on the 20th day of November 2016 (works period) or at a time when nearby building works being undertaken by crane operation from the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. It is envisaged that the closure will only be put in to effect for a 15 minute period during the works period. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/ restrictions.
