WITH experience in hospitality and customer service and already running two pubs whilst working at the DoubleTree by Hilton York, partners Matt Rose and Graham Usher decided to launch their own business.
Their hospitality consultancy, MATTGRAY aims to “support, nurture, innovate and inspire” hospitality businesses by sharing their first-hand knowledge of the industry and to advise senior management teams on strategies to achieve their goals.
The Small Business of the Year contender offers its expertise in sales, marketing and revenue management; brand development; food and beverage; and project management co-ordination, to other owners of single or multiple venues.
Graham who became a general manager at 23 has more than 20 years’ experience in the hotel industry garnered via working in eight hotels. He has also been chairman (2014-2019) of Hospitality Association York (HAY), which represents more than 40 hotels and restaurants across York.
Matt’s expertise lies within customer service spending the last two years as guest relations manager at DoubleTree by Hilton York.
MATTGRAY launched in January. Contracts so far include managing the Castle Inn,Ca wood, and the Drovers Arms, Skipwith.
