REEL Film Media Ltd is an award-winning Yorkshire-based, video production company, creating compelling and creative content for leading global brands and small businesses.
Operating across numerous market sectors for more than 160 clients, it has successfully completed 700 projects in eight countries.
It is now in the running for the Small Business of the Year and Employer of the Year titles.
In 2018, Reel Film Media achieved a record 90 days of back-to-back filming across 40 clients in four countries.
Adam Chandler founded Reel Film in 2013, at the age of 20. In July 2015, it became a limited company. Now, aged 26, Adam oversees Reel Film’s daily operations and employs six staff. Through hard work, self belief and a talented team, his passion for film has become a successful and award-winning company. Adam also created the Harrogate Film Festival.
Adam realised that video production was not utilised to its full potential as a marketing strategy and wanted to make it more accessible. On company launch day, three new clients were secured, including Opera North. Reel Film recognised a niche market in supporting an organisation’s internal communications strategy through video. Historically this type of communication was ‘flat’, making it difficult for HR departments, or health and safety teams to engage with their workforce.
The business has filmed in Amsterdam, Milan and Zurich, with videos being used in Tokyo, Las Vegas and Singapore. The firm produces, creates, edits and distributes HD video for clients, including Disney, Santander, Hilton Worldwide, Takeda and Honda.
In 2019 Reel Film Media has been named Best Small Business in the Harrogate Excellence in Business Awards.
Adam also became a member of Insider Yorkshire’s 42 under 42, a prestigious group of Entrepreneurs. In 2018, Reel Film was Highly Commended in the Amazon Growing Business Awards, in the Creative Business of the Year category.
Further divisions of the company are on the horizon, including a film school for young people, camera rental arm, media charity and internet TV channel for businesses looking to build brand awareness.
