A NEW digital media agency which has built up a list of international clients since its foundation in October is going for New Business Of The Year in The Press Business Awards.
Its sales director, Dario Grandich, who co-founded the venture almost as soon as he left university, is also going for the Young Entrepreneur Of The Year title.
Dario started Snapshot Media with old school friend Andy Fitch, offering basic website design for small and medium-sized businesses.
But the company has secured clients ranging from big players on their doorstep to visual effects artists in Cape Town, South Africa.
It has also diversified to develop applications, databases and e-commerce solutions, as well as producing high definition video.
In April, the company took the leap from organic to acquisitive growth when, after only six months of trading, it merged with fellow York creatives Linaromeo, adding Lawrence Dudley and James Hall to the team.
Dario said the company’s success comes from innovating and being the first to offer new services and technologies.
He said: “We set up in the middle of a severe recession, but quickly built up a portfolio that rivals that of some of the most talented and established web agencies in the UK.
“Our work has been showcased all over the world on blogs and design galleries because of the high quality.”
Dario is now writing an e-book and will lecture at York St John University to help other young entrepreneurs.
