HAVING been finalists in last year’s Business of the Year Awards, Applied Web Analytics is determined to take the prize in the Small Business and Science and Technology categories in 2010.
Since being founded by Dan Croxen-John in March 2009, the web analytics consultancy based at the Phoenix Centre, at York St John University has gone from strength to strength.
Despite the economic downturn, AWA’s research indicates the majority of marketers will maintain or increase their spending on analytics during the tough times ahead.
In the past year, the team of four has established a roster of national clients, expanded its range of services to include website design and search engine marketing services, and has partnered with global digital branding agency, Metia, to provide its clients with their expertise.
AWA also sets an example by donating five per cent of all profits to local charities and offering staff up to ten days of leave a year to volunteer with community projects.
Dan has also founded and sponsors the first networking group for web analysts outside London and assists with the teaching of marketing at York St John University.
