JUST as he was wondering what to do with his life 20-year-old Christian Bradford of York was saved by a brainwave.

He had been a dropout from sixth form when he was in Dubai with his family, but once he returned to York the only job he could get was as a shop assistant.

That brainwave was triggered by his sister who asked him to organise a party for her 14th birthday at a nightclub, outside opening hours and alcohol free, but he had such difficulty that he realised there was a gap in the market.

Thus G2G Promotions Ltd was born two years ago and has been such a success he is pitching for it to become the Small Business Of The Year in The Press Business Awards 2011.

Christian has also been put forward for the Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.

On the basis that marketing would be the key, Christian created a Facebook group called Under 18 Clubbing York. He also posted links on school Facebook pages for under 18s to join.

Once he had established a following he began to meet nightclub bosses and secured a three-month trial contract with The Gallery Nightclub in Clifford Street, York.

The first event was attended by 134 teenagers and as demand for his services soared (with 18 clientele in York on his books right now) one of the events attracted 853 youngsters – bearing witness to the company's popularity in the under 18 market.

Now he has lined up three trial nightclub contracts in Harrogate, Rotherham and Nottingham, to expand his empire.

Meanwhile he has created a network of C2G reps at schools throughout York. Their reward for distributing flyers and inviting friends to Facebook events is to get free entry for themselves.
