RETAILER W Boyes & Co Ltd has continued to expand by opening several stores in the East Midlands.
The Yorkshire chain was supported in the deal to lease the shops in Grantham, Brigg, Bingham and Ollerton by York and Lincoln-based Langleys Solicitors LLP.
W Boyes & Co Ltd was launched in 1881 when William Boyes opened a small store in Eastborough, Scarborough, selling odd lots and remnants from merchants.
The business soon moved into larger premises in Scarborough and opened stores in York and Hull in the early 1900s and has in recent years grown to a chain of over 40 stores spanning Yorkshire, the north-east, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
Andrew Boyes, managing director, said: “We’re keen to increase our representation across the north and in the Midlands and these store openings are a testament to that.”
