YORKSHIRE’S annual tourism conference, organised by Welcome To Yorkshire, will set out the region’s plans for 2013 on March 21.
The conference, dubbed Yorkshire United, is expected to attract 1,000 people from the tourism industry across Yorkshire as it unveils its marketing plans.
The event, which will be held at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds, will be in a chat show format and will be anchored by TV presenter Rob Walker.
It will include singer songwriter and Yorkshire patron Alistair Griffin, who will perform I Wish For You The World, which captured the positivity around the London 2012 Olympics when it featured the Gamesmaker Choir.
Gary Verity, chief executive of Welcome To Yorkshire, said: “This event is the biggest and boldest of its kind in the UK. It’s about sharing our plans, engaging with our tourism sector and invigorating them prior to the start of the main holiday season.”
