A NEW service linking businesses, charities and the public sector has received £45,000 of public and private investment.

Skill Will, a programme which matches businesses and community and voluntary organisations to benefit both sides, has already received commitment and backing from a selection of the region’s leading businesses and regional and national third-sector support agencies.

Investment was received from social investor Keyfund and business angel Rachel Hannan, who founded recruitment company GatenbySanderson.

Jo Boardman, managing director of Skill Will, said: “The investment demonstrates just how committed businesses in Yorkshire and the Humber are to helping charities and social enterprises do their work more effectively and sustainably. They understand the impact this support will have on helping to solve some of the wider challenges we face in communities around the region.”
