AN estate agency has been named the best in Yorkshire at a national award ceremony.

Redmove, which is based at Holtby Manor, Stamford Bridge Road, York, won the accolade at the annual Estate and Letting Agency Awards (ESTAS) ceremony at London’s Hilton Park Lane.

The ceremony was attended by 600 of the country’s top estate and letting agents, for the tenth annual awards celebrating the best estate agents in the country.

The awards are calculated by using 23,000 customer questionnaires covering the service they received.

Redmove was one of six finalists in the sales category for Yorkshire, and was founded by Michael and Yvette Redmond.

Michael said: “We are absolutely over the moon with our award, and it means even more to us knowing that it’s our customers who have judged our performance.

“We take customer service very seriously, and we’ve always been very proud of the personal service we provide. This is a fantastic endorsement of our ethos and approach, and a testament to the strength and support of our team.”

Simon Brown, who runs the awards, said: “The ESTAS are about recognising the hard work agents put in every day, every week and month of the year. To be shortlisted is a great achievement, but to win is the highest accolade any agent can achieve.”

The award was issued to the company by property expert and television presenter Phil Spencer, who has hosted the awards since 2004, and he said they encouraged businesses to strive for higher standards.

He said: “I think these awards help us all to focus on customer service for the greater good of our own businesses as well as the wider industry.

“We must all drive standards higher, raising the bar in terms of the quality of advice we offer and the level of customer care we deliver.”
