MODULAR building manufacturer Portakabin has been ranked among the top 15 per cent of UK and Ireland businesses for financial stability.
The York-based company has achieved the highest rating from business information specialists Dun & Bradstreet, which carries out an independent assessment of risk of failure and creditworthiness.
Roger Hodson, managing director of Dun & Bradstreet in the UK and Ireland, said: “To achieve ‘Rating 1’ status in one of the worst global economic climates in recent memory is a fantastic accomplishment, and we wholeheartedly congratulate Portakabin on its success. It is recognition that Portakabin has consistently performed at this highest level for another year.”
Derek Carter, chief executive of the Portakabin Group, said: “The fact that Portakabin is now among the elite 15 per cent of all companies in the UK and Ireland is a huge credit to our staff, customers and suppliers.”
