A FINALIST in the world coffee-making championships served up an educational demonstration at York Railway Station’s new café, ÜGOT.
James Gartshore-Boulter and Joe Carnell, who set up the healthy food retailer in November last year, invited Dan Fellows to teach not only their staff but also the public about the art of coffee making.
In 2012 Mr Fellows, from Bishopthorpe, came fourth in the World Coffee In Good Spirits contest held in Seoul, South Korea.
Mr Gartshore-Boulter said: “We decided to invite Dan along to ÜGOT to show us what it is that makes a good coffee.
“We attracted a good crowd on the night, and Dan explained the truth behind the myths, that is not all about the machine but rather the supply chain and the method of roasting the beans.”
