YORK’S dedicated group for professional services in the city has welcomed new directors to its board.
York Professionals, set up to champion enterprise and drive economic growth, has broadened its representation across industry sectors by appointing five new board members.
The move has particularly strengthened coverage of the creative and digital sectors.
Joining the board are Charles Storr of City of York Council, Jackie Mathers from The Alternative Board, Anne Taylor from See Green, Owen Turner of United by Design and new co-opted Make York chairman Will Steel, of City of York Council.
Rachel Goddard, chairman of York Professionals, said: “We have a really strong team of board directors and very much rely on their goodwill as each plays a strong role in delivering the core objectives of York Professionals.
“All our directors are professionals in their own right, which is our strength, and so juggle the day job with the commitments of being a board director. I am particularly looking forward to identifying further opportunities to develop our representation of the creative and digital sector which is growing in the city.”
York Professionals represents the professional services economy comprising seven key sectors including business support, creative and digital, finance, legal, marketing, people and property.
