AN East Yorkshire preserves producer has won two awards for its marmalades at the World’s Original Marmalade Awards.
Wolds Cottage Kitchen, based in Wetwang, received a Silver Award for its Orange Marmalade in the artisan, any citrus category.
The firm also won a Bronze Award for its Orange & Ginger, building on its Gold, Silver and Bronze successes at the 2012 and 2013 Awards.
Melanie Moss, owner of Wolds Cottage Kitchen, said: “It is a great honour to receive these awards and to have my marmalade judged by such a prestigious panel of experts.
“It is just coming to the end of my third year in business and my third year of entering the awards, so things really do come in threes.”
The World’s Original Marmalade Awards, held in Cumbria, are now in their ninth year and this year received a record 2,000 entries from around the World. The artisan judging was carried out by a panel including award-winning baker and food writer Dan Lepard and Food Historian Ivan Day.
