BUSINESS Secretary Vince Cable will be questioned by local bosses at a lunch in York tomorrow.
Visiting the city as part of the Liberal Democrat’s spring conference at the Barbican, Mr Cable is attending a business lunch organised by the Yorkshire Institute of Directors.
Business leaders have been invited to the event, which will focus on the growth and development of British business, and the particular challenges faced by regions such as Yorkshire.
Describing it as an “invaluable opportunity to engage with Yorkshire businesses”, Mr Cable said: “If the economy is going to grow and emerge from the current difficult situation we need more regional growth, particularly in the north.”
The business lunch is being held tomorrow, from noon, at the Novotel in Fishergate.
