A YORK hotel has praised its staff for their dedication and long service as the employees clock up a total of 135 years work.
Seven staff at the Park Inn by Radisson York City Centre picked up their diamond pins for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years’ service.
Special mention was given to the maintenance and stores team, which collectively reached 60 years service, along with guest services manager Nigel Faxon and reservations co-ordinator Harriet Timmis who reached a quarter of a century.
Jamie Wilson, breakfast chef, received his 15-year award and was also named employee of the year 2013 for his hard work.
Sally Hughes, general manager for Park Inn by Radisson York City Centre said: “It is very encouraging to see so many loyal employees who have worked for the company for at least five years with many having 20, 30 or 35 years dedicated service at the hotel.”
To mark their long service achievements staff enjoyed a lunch prepared by hotel’s new head chef Doug Webb and his team.
