TWO York-based ventures owned by the same businessman have been shortlisted for National Optician Awards.
Optix, based at York Business Park, has been shortlisted as Optical Supplier Of The Year, while Viewpoint, an optician based in Feasegate, is in the running for Technology Practice Of The Year.
Founded in 2000, Optix is a supplier of practice management software for opticians, employing 32 people and with a turnover of £2 million. Optix and Viewpoint are both owned by York businessman Trevor Rowley.
