BARRETT Precision Tubes is expanding its operation in York after buying new premises. The Steel tube specialist has acquired an industrial unit at Elvington Industrial Estate.
The property transaction, which has been managed by Sanderson Weatherall’s in Leeds, comprises 17,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space.
The business which specialises in steel tube innovation is expanding into the warehouse following a what bosses have described as “significant growth” in demand for its products.
The new facility will enable Barrett to stockpile a greater number of finished components, reducing production timescales and improving customer service.
Mark Halley, managing director of Barrett Precision Tubes, said: “Our objective is to exceed our customer’s expectations and keeping lead times to a minimum is critical for this.
The new premises will enable us to increase the amount of finished components that we store ready for customer call-off.”
The warehouse is located adjacent to Barrett’s existing premises.
