YORK'S Treboom Brewery is toasting success in the Society of Independent Brewers' Design Awards 2014.
Treboom, based at Shipton by Beningbrough, was presented with a high commendation in the Best Individual Label Award for its 'Baron Saturday' porter label at SIBA's BeerX event, held in Sheffield.
Designed by York-based United by Design, it is one of a planned new range of labels for the microbrewery.
John Lewis, pictured above left receiving the award, said: "We learnt quickly that to build a successful brewery, brewing great beers, though of course crucial, wasn't enough: they had to be presented in a way that created real impact and the design of the bottle labels of course plays a vital role.
"United By Design have done a great job, the bottles really stand out on the shelf, they have a contemporary feel about them, tell a story and also offer suggestions for food pairings. Baron Saturday, Great with Steak."
This award follows Treboom Brewery's cask ale Yorkshire Sparkle winning gold in the golden ale category of the Champion Beer of Yorkshire Competition at the Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival.
