OWNERS of small and medium-sized companies in the Selby district have been invited to a free workshop in the town.
This is the business support workshop, organised by Selby District Council, which aims to provide help with marketing, finance and human resources for local companies, with further workshops expected to be held in coming months.
The workshop is designed by Business Support York and North Yorkshire, funded under the council's programme for growth, and will run at the Civic Centre, Doncaster Road, on Monday, March 31, between 10am and noon.
Heidi Green from Business Support York and North Yorkshire, said: "We're trying to focus on the issues we know are the most important for small and medium-sized companies in this area. This session looks at LinkedIn as a way of growing awareness of your business, growing your customer base, supporting sales and helping small firms to interact better with customers and clients, both existing and potential."
Council leader Mark Crane said: "This is the second session to be held at the Civic Centre and we hope to build on the success of the first, which saw around 40 people take advantage of the specialist support available and the chance to network with link-minded business-people."
