YORK is to stage the first in a series of roadshows being held across the country in a bid to help businesses secure investment.
Finance Yorkshire, which has invested more than £65 million in companies across the region, is staging the four events in April with the first being held in York on Tuesday 1 at the Hilton Hotel.
Seedcorn, Business loans and Equity Linked investments, ranging from £15,000 to £2 million, are available from Finance Yorkshire to help SMEs meet their funding requirements for development and growth.
Financial intermediaries are invited to the roadshows to learn more about the impact of Finance Yorkshire’s investment activity and the types of funding available to SMEs.
Companies which have received investment from Finance Yorkshire will also feature at the events to demonstrate how they have benefitted from the funding.
These include York businesses Smartgate Solutions, a software solutions company, and brand and design agency The Beautiful Meme.
Alex McWhirter, chief executive of Finance Yorkshire, said: “The roadshows have become an engaging annual event with financial intermediaries across the region to assess and discuss investment opportunities in a wide range of businesses.
“This year, they will also provide details of how each of the Local Enterprise Partnerships is working collaboratively with us to encourage business innovation and growth.”
