YORK ice cream producer Yorvale has increased its listing with supermarket giant Tesco from nine to 57 stores.
The Acaster Malbis-based business will now supply three of its flavours to selected Tesco stores throughout Yorkshire in addition to many independent retailers, farm shops and delis across the region.
Tesco's regional buyer Simon Wingfield said: "Yorvale is one of Yorkshire's fantastic local suppliers that we have supported since we began our local sourcing initiative and opened Tesco's Regional Buying Office in York in October 2007.
"Yorvale represent the very best of what's available on our doorstep and we're delighted that it's now available in more stores."
Yorvale's sales director Lesley Buxton said she is delighted with the increased listing and said: "We produce an extensive range of dairy ice cream and real fruit sorbets for customers nationwide, but it's always good to get a big listing nearer home and to be able to reach local consumers"
Having celebrated its 25th anniversary in business this year, Yorvale was awarded the Taste of Excellence Award in Dairy for its Panna Cotta and Apricot ice cream at the annual Cream Awards earlier this month.
