A HOLIDAY company has been set up, aimed at people who want to break out from the monotony of their existence and change the way they live.
Liz Betts, from Harome, near Helmsley, has established Life Changing Weekends, which will give people wanting to take a break from their everyday routine the opportunity to work out exactly what they want with the aid of various relaxation techniques.
These include light hypnosis, and neuro-linguistic programming, which is a form of psychotherapy.
The holidays, which are believed to be the first of their kind in the north, will all take place in the little village of Harome.
They will be based at Bramble Cottage, Liz's home, which has private en-suite rooms and gardens.
As an added incentive, the company has teamed up with Harome's most famous business - the Michelin-starred restaurant The Star Inn - to offer clients a meal at the eatery.
Speaking about the launch of her business, Liz said: "This is a very exciting time for me, as I have spent many months researching and working on the framework for the holidays which are going to fill a major gap in the market.
"Our Life Changing Weekends are exactly what the name suggests - an opportunity to think about how you want to change your life, and plan the steps to making those changes.
"The tranquil location of Bramble Cottage in Harome, in the heart of North Yorkshire, provides the perfect setting to take time out.
"We will dedicate an entire weekend to working with guests to help them decide on what they want from their lives.
"And we are delighted to have The Star Inn on board too, so that our guests get a real taste of award-winning food in North Yorkshire."
The first weekend break is due to run in April, with prices starting from £600. The price includes all activities, therapy sessions, accommodation, meals and drinks.
