A NORTH Yorkshire company has won a regional manufacturing award.
GBUK Ltd, which is based in North Duffield, near Selby, won the Healthcare Manufacturer Award at the Insider Made in Yorkshire Awards last week.
A black-tie ceremony was held at the Royal Armouries, Leeds, to celebrate and recognise the local companies, organisations and individuals who work to promote business within Yorkshire, and the awards also commend those who provide opportunities for employment in the region.
GBUK won the award based on the healthcare company’s financial success and the growth of its North Duffield base. It was also praised for its product innovation, the company’s plans for development into international markets, and was highly commended in the Small Manufacturer category.
Mark Thompson, Managing Director of GBUK Ltd, said: "To win this award is a tremendous achievement and we’re absolutely delighted.
"A lot of hard work has gone in to the growth of GBUK Ltd and this award is deserved recognition for the dedication and foresight shown by our committed team. We’re now looking forward to that success continuing over the coming months and years."
The company - which is also a finalist in the Medilink Yorkshire and Humber Awards' Outstanding Achievement category - will now go forward to the national Made in UK Awards in June 2015.
