A TEAM of young web-developers are hoping to shake up the world of recruitment with the launch of their new networking site.
Based at York Science Park’s Catalyst building, BahGum.com, is designd to provide a new online service that connects potential job candidates to companies seeking to recruit the best talent across the UK.
Chief executive Chris Smith said: "In my previous work as a business consultant I could see that one of the main challenges companies faced was recruiting the best talent, which as well as being time consuming often comes with substantial costs.
"My vision is to make connecting great talent to great jobs stress-free and easy.
"BahGum.com offers a more personal and open alternative, bringing transparency into the challenging world of applying and hiring for jobs, plus is simple and fun to use.
"The ethos behind the new website is to allow individuals to demonstrate much more than a conventional CV can show and is designed to make the best use of networking using social media."
BahGum.com has been designed to enable its’ members to create a fully customisable profile, complete with a portfolio of work, ideas and achievements which they can showcase to potential employers.
