A YORK training company is launching a Business Skills Academy to help prepare young people for employment.
YH Training, based in Clifford Street, is creating the programme to equip all young people aged 16-24 looking for office based employment with the skills and experience to start their career path.
Jo Walker from YH Training said: “As a huge growth area in York and surrounding areas, YH are keen to work with local employers to offer high quality work experience in a variety of settings, where business skills are at the heart of their organisation.
“This may be in accountancy practices, estate agents, finance and HR departments amongst many other environments.
“Hand in hand with this experience, trainees will undertake customer service qualifications, AAT courses, ECDL and Business Admin certificates whilst also developing their maths and English functionality.
“The aim is to improve the young persons employability and assist them in progressing to employment and apprenticeships, ensuring they are supported and assisted in fulfilling their potential.”
Spaces available to anyone not in employment, education or training. For more information call (01904) 666713.
