A NEW regional chairman is being sought for the Institute of Directors Yorkshire and Humber branch.
The former regional chairman Peter Holmes, has taken a place on the Institute's national council while also remaining the chairman of the South Yorkshire branch committee.
Jonathan Oxley, chairman of the West Yorkshire branch committee, is currently acting regional chairman.
Institute of Directors (IoD) regional director Natalie Sykes said: "We are looking for someone to chair and lead our regional committee with a focus on developing the membership and supporting and engaging with IoD members across our region.
"This will include implementing and supporting IoD policies, standards and initiatives.”
The ideal candidate for the three-year term of regional chair should have experience of working in a senior board role, live in and be knowledgeable about Yorkshire and Humber.
Ms Sykes added: "Acting as the voice of the IoD in the region is an important aspect of the role and the successful candidate would promote the profile of the IoD across our region by engaging with local businesses and other stakeholders including the LEPs, public sector bodies and universities.”
Interested candidates should send their CV and covering letter to iod.yorkshire@iod.com by December 8. The appointment panel will take place on 15 December.
The Institute of Directors (IoD) is the UK’s longest running organisation for professional leaders. It aims to support its members, encourage entrepreneurialism and promote responsible business practice.
The IoD has 34,500 members through 48 regional branches across the UK.
