A MALTON logistics company has expanded its operation as it grows its European service network to 14 countries.
Ward Bros, which is part of the Palletways network, has extended its distribution services to Austria.
The development now means that Ward Bros provides delivery services to 14 European countries including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Spain and United Kingdom.
Steve Ward, principal at Ward Bros, said: "This development is really exciting. It will open up a new market opportunity for us and our customers, and adds to our ever growing pan-European delivery capability.”
The Palletways network is made up of independent transport companies which share each other’s resources to deliver consignments of palletised freight to the marketplace.
Palletways has a total of more than 400 depots and 12 hubs, with the nearest regional hub in Leeds.
In total Palletways handles up to 30,000 pallets daily across all its operations.
