EMPLOYMENT law experts are hosting a seminar to examine the management of long-term sickness absence from work.
The team from Langleys Solicitors, York, will discuss some of the common issues relating to sickness absence such as how it impacts on pay, benefits and holiday.
Led by employment law partner Stephen Elliott, the team will also examine how employers can reduce the risks involved in dismissing employees in long-term absence situations, ensuring that dismissals are carried out in a procedurally fair way.
The complex subject of disability discrimination and the duty to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ as it applies in long-term absence scenarios will also be covered in the seminar.
The free seminar takes place on Thursday, January 8, at Langleys Solicitors, in Micklegate, from 8.30am to 11am.
