AN estate agent with offices across York and East Yorkshire has moved to new premises.
Established in 2005, Gray's & Co has set up office in Grade I listed Wealden Hall in Goodramgate, York.
The business moved from their smaller premises in the city during the Christmas holiday.
After launching offices in Pocklington and Driffield in 2007, Gray's & Co now has a total of four sites, including their original office in Beverley's historic Market Place.
Wealden Hall's owners, York Conservation Trust, believe the building was constructed in the late 15th and early 16th century and the large open hall and its style of construction indicate that it was a residence for a higher status occupant.
The type of building is very rare in this area - only 20 are to be found outside Kent and the Home Counties.
Chris Ray, a director of Grays & Co, said: "We've been looking for new premises since acquiring Springfield Estate Agents two years ago. We wanted the right location and size and are very pleased to have such an attractive and interesting property as well."
